bing ads editor for mac

We are excited to announce that we have started work on Bing Ads Editor for Mac and will be delivering it to you by early summer of 2016.

Bing Ads Editor for Mac will make it easy for Mac users to use Bing Ads Editor to manage their search marketing campaigns on the platform of their choice. A PC will no longer be a requirement for getting more done in paid search campaign management with Bing Ads.

We are also redesigning the user interface and are adding new features.

  • Multi-account management:

In this version, you will be able to manage multiple accounts with ease. Add as many accounts as you want and download campaign data for multiple accounts simultaneously, right from the accounts manager window. You will also be able to open each account in a separate editor window and drag/drop or copy/paste entities across accounts.

  • Simplified navigation:

Using the simplified navigation under the account tree, you will be able to access your location targets or sitelinks extensions with just one click. The list will also display the number of entities of each type within the selected scope making your campaign management tasks a lot easier.

Bing Ads Editor for Mac will be available globally for download by summer 2016. We’ll provide more concrete timelines in the coming months, stay tuned!

Now live: Time saving improvements in Bing Ads Editor

We are excited to announce the availability of Bing Ads Editor version 10.8. This update makes campaign set up and management easier and more efficient through improvements in the copy/paste and import/export functions, providing fast access to reports with date range enhancements, as well as through improvements made to advanced bidding functionality, providing you with more options to optimize your bidding strategy.

If you haven’t already upgraded your existing version of Bing Ads Editor, you can do so (or install v10.8 for the first time) from the Download Center here.

App Extensions (US Only)

We’ve added a new ad extension to further enhance your ads: App extensions. App extensions allow you to enhance your ads with download links to your iOS, Android, or Windows app. You will be able to manage app extensions as shared library entities under the Shared Library tab, and associate these extensions to campaigns or ad groups under the Extensions tab. App Extensions work on smartphones, tablets, and PCs, and help you meet two goals at once — more traffic and more app installs!

Note: Currently, this feature is available only for US advertisers.

Improved Copy/Paste

You can now select a campaign or ad group and create a copy of just the shell without the keywords or ads. The shell includes your campaign or ad group settings like language, device target, demographics and site exclusions. We have also added the ability to copy just the keyword text of the selected keywords to make it easier to paste in an editor like Excel. If you use the “Paste special” option, you can selectively paste different settings of the selected campaign or ad group.

Advanced Bid Changes Enhancements

We have improved the “Advanced Bid Changes” feature to make it easier to bulk update your ad group and keyword bids. You now have the ability to use the recommended bid estimates as the new value for your keyword bids or to use them as constraints to avoid setting your keywords bids to any value lower than the estimates.

Import/Export Improvements

You now have the ability to export the campaign or ad group that is currently selected from the left hand navigation tree using the ‘Export current campaign/ad group’ option under file menu. You will also be able to export all the rows in the current grid to a file using the ‘Export current view’ option.

Advanced Reporting Capabilities

We have added more performance metrics that can be viewed as columns, including Revenue and ROAS (Revenue on Ad Spend).

Bing Ads Editor 10.7 Has Arrived – Keyword Text Editing, Faster Downloads and More

We are pleased to announce the availability of Bing Ads Editor (BAE) 10.7, your desktop solution for large and multi-campaign management.  The improved Bing Ads Editor has been revamped based on your feedback, sporting a host of new and enhanced features designed to help you get more done in less time. This includes editable keyword text, better Get/Post changes, faster radius targeting management and overall usability improvements.

For a visual walkthrough of the new Editor, check out this short video.

What’s New?

Here are five updates that we hope will improve your Bing Ads Editor experience:

1. Editable keyword text

With this improved version, you now have the ability to edit the text of synced keywords—enabling you to manage keywords more efficiently. Making this change was a major priority as we learned, based on your feedback, the inability to edit keyword text once synced to the cloud had become an ongoing pain point.

2. Improved Get/Post changes

With Get Changes, you now have the option to select specific campaigns to download—allowing for more granular control over what data gets downloaded. Additionally, you can choose between Basic option, which downloads only the campaign data; OR More data option, which downloads the first page bid estimates, top-of-page bid estimates and quality score along with your campaign data.

With Post Changes, you can now either post all the changes you’ve made across the account or choose specific campaigns with changes that you want to post.

3. Radius targets now under location targeting grid

Last year we added the ability to manage area targets from the location targeting grid. In the new BAE, we have improved the experience even further by adding the ability to manage radius targets as well from the location targeting grid.

4. Logout:

We have also added the ability to log out of your currently logged-in user credentials without having to close Bing Ads Editor.

5. Usability improvements

We’ve made several usability improvements to the navigation, edit pane, and action bar to make the navigation more intuitive, which should help save you time when managing your campaigns with Editor.

Download Editor 10.7 Now

This release is being rolled out, so you can expect to see a prompt to upgrade to 10.7 when you launch your Bing Ads Editor over the next couple of weeks. You can also download the latest version from the BAE download page right away.

We will continue to listen, so please keep the feedback coming on the Feature Suggestion Forum, Twitter, or leave a comment below.

Thank you!

Updates to Navigation, Negative Keyword Lists and Import Improvements in Bing Ads Editor v10.6

We are excited to announce the availability of Bing Ads Editor v10.6. You can download it from the Bing Ads Editor download center. If you are existing Bing Ads Editor user, you can expect to see the upgrade prompt in the next few days. We’ve added a number of capabilities to make your campaign management experience easier and more efficient.

1. Easier navigation:

Ads and targeting related entity tabs are now consolidated under their respective groups. This will make it easier to navigate across different entities. We’ve also rearranged the tab for maximum efficiency.

2. Enhanced negative keyword lists:

We have enhanced the negative keyword lists experience that we first delivered in v10.5. In v10.6, you can easily populate a negative keyword list from your existing negative keywords - just copy your negative keywords (under the keywords tab) and paste it in the negative keyword list of your choice.

You can always copy negative keywords from a list to a particular campaign or ad group or copy negative keywords across lists as well.

3. Improved import:

We’ve made several improvements in v10.6 so that you can import your campaigns into Bing Ads more easily. The campaign selection dialog has been significantly simplified and we’ve added the ability to automatically set the bids and budgets of your campaigns being imported to Bing Ads default minimum values. This will help you launch your campaigns on our platform more efficiently.

We would love to hear your feedback, visit our feature suggestion forum or reach us on Twitter or Facebook.
